Wanted to try and save green screen test project?

Wanted to try and save a green screen test project before I purchased the product; but, once the video is rendered, only the original image of me speaking in front of a green screen is visable and the effects I successfully loaded in earlier are missing! Very disappointing? It seems to hold great promise, but didn't work for me?
