Project lost after closing app

Regarding: Video editor 9
this crashed lots of times but recovered itself. I reopen the app and continue with the recovered project.
I saved regularly, but did not check where it was saving.
I closed the app to free some memory and then opened again.
The project had lost all changes, it had reverted to the initial crash. 3 hours were lost.
I noticed about 1 second after I opened the project file, it autosaved.

Why not keep more copies of autosave?

2 years later and this is still a problem.

A similar thing happened to me as well, only I didn't close it purposefully... it was working fine and then it wanted to be a bother as per usual so I forced it closed of course. My project was saved over multiple times only a few minutes before but it was all for nothing as it wiped everything except the very basic 2-3 unedited pictures I started with.
A whole 2 days of work down the drain...
No mention of a temporary file it should've had saved either... :'(

i have same probleme.
i lost 6 hours works on clips because my savework was dissepears.

This still hasn't been fixed?! I just lost 11 hours of work and now I'm not going to meet my deadline! I had been working on the trial version and when I decided I liked the program and wanted to save my movie, I bought it. BIG mistake. Guess I'll be contacting for a refund!
